Description

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Laboratory Services and the direct supervision of a Medical Technologist Coordinator, the Lab Technician II provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

In addition, the Lab Technician II does testing, contract processing, Microbiology set ups, and LIS/computer functions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Skilled in computer technology.
Certification per unit specific competency (i.e. BLS, CPI, etc.).
