Aegis Worldwide is a 3rd party recruiting agency that partners with manufacturing companies and engineering companies all over the US.

Our manufacturing client in the Newnan, GA area is seeking an Approvals and Regulatory Electrical Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on ensuring products meet UL standards, are safe from fire hazards and electrocution, and are designed with robust circuitry and wiring.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all products comply with UL codes and standards.
Conduct safety assessments to prevent fire hazards and risks of electrocution.
Design and layout circuitry, wiring, and components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Test and troubleshoot electrical faults and implement solutions to improve product reliability.
Develop and review circuit layouts and component placements to optimize design efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs into final products.
Document electrical designs, test results, and safety evaluations accurately and comprehensively.
Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for creating and modifying electrical schematics and layouts.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Provide technical support and guidance during the manufacturing and installation processes.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on product safety and compliance.
Proficient in circuitry, wiring, fault testing, and electrical component layout.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of UL codes and safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.
Knowledge of other relevant codes and standards.
Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
Familiarity with other CAD software and electrical design tools.
