The McCuiston Group is looking for an energetic Full-TimeMedical Assistant, with pediatric experience to join our pediatric office

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general nursing care for patients, including administration of immunizations, medical injection and administration, and perform treatments under the direction of medical providers.
• Ensure patient medical records are updated
• Greet patients and prepare them for the provider's examination. This includes screening patients/parents and obtaining age and visit appropriate vitals
• Prepare equipment and aid the provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
• Observe, record, and report patient's condition, adverse reaction to medication or treatment to the provider.
• Provides educational aids and information to parents/patients by telephone or in person.
• Maintains confidentiality concerning patients' medical and financial information. Patient's protected health and financial information may not be disclosed without prior written authorization from the parent/guardian (or patient if he/she has reached majority).
• Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials.
• Ensure cleanliness of exam rooms.
• Assist in care and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the clinical area.
• Perform related work as required.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND CREDENTIALS:

• High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)
• 1 year experience, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• EHR experience required, ATHENA preferred

Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
