Westgate Villa is seeking a Nurse (LVN) to oversee the operations of the Assisted Living Facility.

All new hires must be COVID-19 Vaccinated or have a medical or religious accommodation before they start.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include overseeing the clinical operations)
Build relationships with community organizations and professional groups to increase collaboration opportunities. Supervises and provides leadership and coaching to Med techs, nurses, and caregivers. This is a lead role position. Westgate Villa is a very fun active community, we are looking for someone who is a team player, has flexibility, and loves to lead people to success

  • Assigns and directs work of clinical leaders and subordinates; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • Provides training and education to caregivers, med techs, and nurses on an ongoing basis with classroom inservices and situationspecific training
  • Oversee the resident charts and review documentation performed by caregiving staff.
- assesses residents' health, oversees medication administration, oversees functional and psycho-social status of residents, initiates individualized service plans, proactively manages care and services for each resident

  • Communicate with family members and ensure that they are aware of the resident's needs
  • Participates in preadmission screening of prospective new residents
  • Assures that required documentation is completed prior to or upon resident admission, including nursing assessments, service plans, and other assigned forms
  • Updates assessments as required by policy
  • Performs onsite evaluations of residents admitted to alternate care environments for treatment, and maintains contact with resident families.
  • Evaluate residents, document changes in condition, and notify the Executive Director, resident's physician, and resident's legally responsible party/family of the resident's condition and reactions
  • Participates in care plan meetings
  • Participates in department quality improvement activities
  • Assists in keeping the environment safe for associates to reduce the occurrence of Workers' Compensation claims by appropriately evaluating resident transfer and mobility needs and involving therapy services as indicated
  • Shares oncall and manager duty responsibilities/shifts as required
  • Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department
  • Provides diabetic care to diabetic residents
  • On-Call on an asneeded basis: Cover for Med Tech OR Insulin Nurse PRN
