The
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Vertical Lift Division is seeking an associate or mid-level
Weight and Balance Technician
Analyst (Level 2 or 3) to join our Flight Technology team in sunny
Mesa, AZ.

Our team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We provide direct support for the Apache AH-64 helicopter, the Little Bird AH-6 helicopter, and innovative development rotorcraft/fixed-wing programs. The Technician will participate in the assembly/publication of Weight and Balance Manuals and create mass properties documentation. This includes estimating weight, center of gravity, and inertias.


Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports the development of weight, balance, and mass properties data reports for the AH-64 Apache Helicopter for production and delivery center
  • Supports drawing release processes and ECO's.
  • Supports main rotor blade balance.
  • Has excellent leadership, written/verbal communication skills, and willingness to learn new tools or optimize processes.
  • Enjoys attention to detail and working across several functions ranging from analysts, designers, pilots, and manufacturing assembly line technicians.
  • Currently holds or can obtain a security clearance.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Secret Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):_(see education and experience for the levels below)_

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1 or more years of related analyst work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Level 3: Associate degree and 3 or more years of related work experience or Bachelor's degree and 1 year related work experience
  • 1 or more years of computer aided drawing experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience working rotorcraft.
  • Currently holds or can obtain a security clearance.

Typical Education/Experience:

(Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

(Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for associate level: $52,700 - $71,300

Summary pay range for mid-level: $61,200 - $82,800
