    Description
    Boyd Lake Veterinary Clinic is an animal care facility in Loveland, Colorado.

    We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats and offer services such as routine medical, surgical, and dental care.

    Our team is committed to educating our clients on how to keep their pets healthy year-round, with good nutrition and good exercise.

    We stay on top of the latest advance in veterinary technology and above all, remember that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.

    Certified Veterinary Technician Role Requirements** Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.


    • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology

    *Certified Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
    • Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms.
    • Laboratory procedures including but not limited to hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
    • Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members.
    • Nursing skills including restraining patients, administering medications. PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.
    • Competently perform dental prophylaxis
