The
Operations Aide will provide overall supervision, guidance, and support in the Youth program to help promote a trauma informed care environment for our adolescents by ensuring the timely execution of facility schedule, safety, and client transportation.


The salary for the Operations Aide can be $ $24.00/per hour based on relevant experience.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Develops and conducts workshops, individual, and group counseling on scheduled basis.
  • Coordinate and verify client movement throughout the facility.
  • Assist with client induction into the program working closely with intake staff.
  • Reports incidents, accidents and client concerns or problems to appropriate clinical staff or supervisor.
  • Documents status of facility in proper logbook.
  • Monitor client conduct and overall behavior during tour of duty.
  • Distributes client's property (Including searches) or mail.
  • Conducts searches for contraband according to established organizational policy.
  • Conducts crisis intervention counseling to clients exhibiting disruptive/unusual behavior.
  • Conducts rounds on an hourly basis to assess clients conduct plus ensure the ongoing safety and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Communicate facilities needs to facilities staff and/or supervisor via work orders.
  • Obtain and distribute to counseling staff court, medical, mental health and other documents needed from clients.
  • Participate in case conference and case reviews as needed.
  • Assist with coordinating and escorting clients on healthy walks, all appointments, home passes, recreational activities, etc. as needed via public transportation.
  • Drive as needed to transport and escort clients to destinations.
  • Collects and reports toxicology regularly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma required:

-
1 year related counseling experience in Substance Abuse/Mental Health (preferred):

  • Obtain training within six months of hire:
  • Supporting Recovery with Medications Addictions Treatment (MAT)
  • Obtain training within thirty days of hire:
  • Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment
  • CASAC Canon of Ethics (6 hours)
  • Confidentiality related to 42CFR (3 Hours)
  • Mandated reporter (2 hours)
  • Crisis Intervention/De-Escalation (2 hours)
  • Excellent organizational, reporting, recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines
  • Ability to make decisions based on education preparation and experience, which reflect consistency with Agency philosophy, policies and procedures, standards of care and review body requirements


  • Bilingual

  • Spanish speaking a plus
