Description
Job Summary:
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) supervisor looking to make a difference in the healthcare field? Join the team at the Arizona Department of Veterans' Service in Yuma!
The Nursing Supervisor role involves providing supervision and clinical oversight during assigned shifts. Responsibilities include ensuring quality care, compliance with regulations, and leading nursing staff through training and development. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Arizona Management System (AMS) for process improvement and efficiency. This position emphasizes a Veteran/Member-centered approach to care.
Job Duties:
• Supervise nursing staff on shift
• Conduct timely performance appraisals
• Provide counseling and disciplinary actions as necessary
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and overall care quality
• Respond to emergencies and ensure compliance with regulations
• Participate in staff selection, training, and development
• Assist in policy development, quality assurance, and investigations
• Collaborate in AMS processes and QAPI program
• Serve on committees and complete special projects when required
• Assume additional duties as needed

• Utilize the Arizona Management System (AMS)
Selective Preference(s):
One or more years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care preferred.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
• Current Negative TB skin test within the last twelve months
• Fingerprint clearance card from Arizona Department of Public Safety
• RN license in the State of Arizona
• Current CPR certification obtained through physical assessment
• Valid driver's license for State business use
