Job Summary:

Duties:

Prepare and serve a variety of deli products such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, and salads
Assist customers in selecting deli items and provide recommendations
Operate deli equipment including slicers, scales, and ovens
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area
Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
Monitor inventory levels and replenish products as needed
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure quality and freshness of products

Requirements:

Previous experience in bussing, food service, or retail environment preferred
Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and transactions
Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Familiarity with retail math concepts for pricing and promotions
Experience handling food products following sanitation guidelines
Basic understanding of sales techniques to promote deli items
