Entry-Level Community Planner

  • Halff is seeking to hire an entry or midlevel Community Planner to join the Houston, Texas office. The ideal person for this position can thrive in a collaborative work environment with an interdisciplinary team of planners, landscape architects, and engineers on a variety of planning efforts.
  • The Halff Houston team is involved in exciting planning projects in Houston and beyond ranging from comprehensive plans; parks, recreation, and trails planning; active transportation and mobility planning; corridor and special area planning; urban design and land planning; development codes; and more.
    Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in community/urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, or a closely related field
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with computer programs (GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office programs) and the ability to produce attractive maps, graphics, and written documents

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Up to 5 years of experience but recent graduates will also be considered
  • Experience in both the public and private sector
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and highly motivated
  • Strong writing and graphic skills

Compensation:


  • Commensurate with experience. Halff Associates has a competitive pay and benefits package
