    Job Description

    Little Words Project is looking for a Graphic Designer to design across all of Little Words Project's marketing channels - Ecommerce, Retail Stores, Social Media, and Email. This graphic designer will be responsible for designing in a way that engages, informs, and inspires through visual storytelling. The successful candidate will thoroughly understand branding and marketing and be able to adapt their designs to match LWP's visual style. This role will report to the VP of Creative on the Marketing team.

    Responsibilities

    • Translate strategic direction into high-quality designs within LWPs established brand identity
    • Create illustrations, logos, and other designs
    • Develop concepts and execute original content
    • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
    • Work with the VP of Creative & content team to produce the final designs, ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
    • Receive input/feedback from managers to ensure that designs meet LWP standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent LWP appropriately
    • Update designs after feedback
    • Work independently as well as cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines and scheduled project timeline, which will include multiple simultaneous projects
    • Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for Asana
    • Examine existing processes, identify enhancement, and create solutions that improve design team efficiency
    • Help update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video
    • Retouch photographs shot by the content team
    • Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, or a related discipline
    • 3+ years of experience in professional graphic design
    • A strong portfolio of graphics
    • Advanced skill in design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and proficiency in After Effects
    • Proficiency with photo-editing software (Adobe Lightroom)
    • Experience with Asana, Shopify, Klaviyo & Tapcart preferred
    • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
    • Energized by meeting deadlines
