Position Summary:
The Office of the Chief Operating Officer is looking to hire a Business and Strategy Analyst CoOp who will assist the team in identifying opportunities to align projects to business strategy and to perform analysis on existing policies, strategies and programs.
This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work collaboratively with members of MassDOT's Executive Administration, the MassDOT PMO and members of MassDOT's operating divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify business challenges and articulate value of identified solutions.
- Collaborate with staff to develop solutions to business challenges.
- Articulate business cases via memo, Powerpoint, and/or quantitatively.
- Take problem statements from senior leadership, initiate conversations with relevant stakeholders, and develop analysis of causes and potential actions to consider.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative policy analysis.
- Provide project support in the form of taking meeting minutes, preparing agendas and ensuring team members are prepared for meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to write persuasively.
- Data analysis skills required.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to develop agendas and prepare for meetings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Project Management skills are desired.
