- Responsible for accurate and timely sampling, testing, shipping, and storing of plasma collected from donors
- Collect plasma samples following SOPs and move units to the freezer for quality assurance
- Properly store plasma units according to SOPs, including unsuitable units
- Ensure accuracy of unit labeling and verify pre-printed labels match dynamic labels
- Utilize sterile technique to draw samples and maintain sterility with heat sealer
- Pack and ship samples following SOPs, monitor equipment temperatures, and calibrate equipment daily
- Record donor data accurately in the electronic system and maintain confidentiality
- Maintain a clean work environment, follow safety procedures, and cross-train as needed
- Bilingual skills may be required
- High school diploma required, minimum of 3 months experience preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to understand and apply instructions, see customers and equipment operation
- Occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in fast-paced environment exposed to chemicals and bloodborne pathogens
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment, work overtime as needed
