- PACU or ICU experience required. Holding area is used to for patients needing nerve blocks for Ortho cases, such as total knee and shoulder replacements. This RN will also assist with other bedside procedures, such as arterial line placement. This area will also hold all patients coming from patient units, including ICU/CCU, who are waiting for surgery. This nurse may also work in PACU, when needed.
