The Manager of Asset Life Cycle Management (ALM) is responsible for end-to-end life cycle management activities for NBCUniversal's endpoint systems - from purchase to final disposition - for NBCUniversal's fleet of 55K+ laptops and desktops.


NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology Leadership has prioritized focus of ALM strategy, and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of reshaping asset management processes through moving to a PC as a Service, managed service model.

This role will assist with vendor evaluation and selection, and will serve as the lead contact and oversee governance of vender operations.

This role will partner with ALM Engineering to coordinate and drive delivery of key project through vendor operations, including rollout of Intune/Autopilot for Windows device provisioning and Windows11 for new deployments.


Additionally, the ALM Manager will oversee NBCUniversal's centralized stock pool of new and reposed inventory along with budget and credit management for NBCUniversal's $20M+ annual new hire, device refresh and disposal programs.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and lead a team responsible for governance of asset life cycle management activities and quantitative and qualitative contractual obligations for NBCU's managed service provider. Activities include but are not limited to acquisition, deployment, tracking, security, repair, refresh, repurpose, and final disposition/resale of IT assets.
  • Work with managed service provider to monitor ALM activities and identify areas for improvement to refine ALM strategy and meet financial objectives, including new device evaluation, enrollment/provisioning, and recycling.
  • Partner with the ALM Director and ALM Engineering team to execute against strategic initiatives with respect to vendor operations. Define and document workflows and SOPs when required.
  • Aggregate and socialize ALM achievements, issues, and risks to leadership as required.
  • Manage vendor relationships:
  • Maintain positive relationships with key technology vendors to ensure the organization receives competitive pricing, highquality goods and services, and timely delivery.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with technology vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and servicelevel agreements

Qualifications Basic Requirements**:


  • 5+ years of experience in IT, specifically in an enterprise environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computerrelated field and/or years of equivalent of experience
  • Technical background and understanding of IT asset life cycle management
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage a budget and participate in budget planning discussions
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships: Maintain positive relationships with key technology vendors to ensure highquality goods and services, and timely delivery
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Ability to analyze complex data and create user friendly reporting
  • Selfstarter, ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to travel to conduct inperson visits at various NBCU offices or vendor offices/warehouses when required (estimated 34 trips per year)

Desired Characteristics:


  • Management experience preferred
  • Project management certification or course work
  • Experience with the asset management functions of Service Now/HamPro is preferred
  • Experience with Modern device management systems, l
