    Job Title:
    Senior Fund Accountant (Real Estate)
    Location: Chicago, IL


    Job Description:
    • Lead and guide a team of Associate and Fund Accountants
    • Showcase leadership skills by directing projects and providing insights
    • Address auditor inquiries efficiently
    • Engage with property managers and clients
    • Compile and assess financial reports for clients regularly
    • Analyze performance returns and compare to benchmarks
    • Examine property budgets and contribute to annual fund/account budgets
    • Determine appropriate cash distributions aligned with property objectives
    • Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance
    • Ensure documents adhere to IM and JV agreements


    Your Profile:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in real estate accounting and analysis
    • Big 4 background is a plus
    • Proficient in Excel
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting
    • Prior supervisory experience preferred
    • Experience with Yardi software is advantageous
    • CPA certification is desirable
