Our Position


The Team Lead I works with individuals in groups and on a one-to-one basis providing hope, encouragement, support, self-determination and connection to the community.

The Team Lead I also acts as an advocate for the needs and rights of individuals served.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provides recovery support services in partnership with Peer Support specialists and other team members, either in the community or in the facility.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to peer support staff through role modeling and guidance, modeling techniques and practices of peer support and selfhelp.
  • Ensures all team members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Interacts with individuals in a Recovery model, assisting with activities and providing information about support in the community.
  • Assists individuals in maintaining healthy living within the community.
  • Facilitates group activities using recovery tools.
  • Develops and maintains positive and constructive working relationships with collateral and funding agencies.
  • Completes clinical documentation as required.
  • Ensures all program elements and expectations are being met.
  • Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Our Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Successful completion of Peer Employment Training thus obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Lived experience requiring mental health and/or substance use services.
  • Ability to teach/train recovery information and recovery tools.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of fulltime behavioral health experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

  • Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable).
  • Must be able to pass education verification check.
  • Must be able to pass threeyear motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
