- Starting wage of $13 - $14 per hour. Will consider previous optometry/opthalmology or medical experience

- Efficiently process patients by collecting/verifying health history, medications, and current refraction/CL. If applicable, process Web Registration and confirm accuracy of data during patient's visit. Verify chart documentation and accurately enter information into appropriate EHR layout.
- Inform patients of current promotions.
- Monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays
- Educate patients on Focal Points chosen from Vision Today Program (if applicable) and provide Program report to Office Manager on a weekly basis.
- Prepare for patient appointments by reviewing their Vision Today selection (if applicable).
- Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous medical office experience is preferred.
- Proficient in EHR, including exceptional keyboarding skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Quality of work reflects efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to obtain knowledge and skills on the job or through educational courses
- A strong commitment to helping people

- Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing.
- Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Staff members are required to meet training expectations within the initial 90-day orientation period. This training includes instructional sessions on medical coding/billing, mechanical equipment, optical math, optical physics, and job-specific responsibilities, along with education on basic optical terminology and ocular diseases.
- Obtaining certification in optometric field is encouraged. MWEC will provide assistance to all employees eligible for the Employee Career Development Program.
