Pro Shop Manager

Location:
Stonecreek Golf Club - Phoenix, AZ


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the daytoday operations of the pro shop, ensuring a high standard of service and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Oversee the selection, purchasing, merchandising, and inventory control of golf apparel, equipment, and accessories.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
  • Hire, train, and manage pro shop staff, fostering a team environment that emphasizes customer service and passion for the game of golf.
  • Coordinate with the golf club's management team to align pro shop operations with the club's overall goals and objectives.
  • Organize and manage golfrelated events, tournaments, and promotions that engage the club's membership and attract new customers.
  • Maintain an uptodate knowledge of golf industry trends, new products, and technologies to enhance the shop's offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the pro shop budget, including forecasting, expense management, and reporting.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality merchandise and favorable terms.
  • Ensure the pro shop's presentation and layout are inviting, organized, and aligned with the club's brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pro Shop Manager, Retail Manager, or similar managerial role, preferably in a golf club or sports retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of golf and familiarity with golf products and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Adept at budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field is preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
