Northeast Family Services is seeking an experienced masters-level professional to join our growing New York team as a
Intake Screener and Authorization Specialist
The
Intake Specialist manages all aspects of the registration and admissions process for Northeast Family Services in New York.

They are responsible for completing the full intake and screening process for all new clients and completing plan reviews for existing clients.

Intake paperwork and required clinical documentation includes comprehensive assessments, screening assessments and initial treatment plans.

This is a hybrid position.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Psychology, Social work, Counseling, or directly related human services field is required for this role
NY state License (LCSW, LMHC, etc.,) or Limited Permit in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling is required
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and families
Experience reviewing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans
Working knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizations
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Experience working with and helping clients/families with complex behavioral health needs
Ability to keep client and company confidences
Excellent communication, customer service, and problemsolving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
Strong time management and organizational skills
