Altair Plant

  • Location: Altair, TX_

_ Shift Details: 7 am-7 pm Monday -Saturday, nights, and weekends when necessary._

In the position of Aggregates Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities related to aggregate production and processing.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and machinery used in the production of aggregates, such as crushers, screens, conveyors, and other processing equipment.

You will collaborate closely with maintenance teams, production supervisors, and management to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe working environment.

Equipment Maintenance Oversight:


  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all aggregate production equipment, ensuring regular inspections, servicing, and repairs are conducted.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors to schedule maintenance activities, identify critical equipment, and prioritize maintenance tasks based on production requirements.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:


  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions, coordinating quick and effective troubleshooting and repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance records to identify recurring issues and implement longterm solutions.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Champion a safetyfirst culture and ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification for maintenance tasks, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Spare Parts and Inventory Management:


  • Maintain an organized spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are readily available to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to source and purchase spare parts, adhering to budgetary guidelines.

Training and Development:


  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel on proper equipment operation, maintenance techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Identify skill gaps and opportunities for professional development within the maintenance team.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Continuously evaluate maintenance processes and procedures, seeking opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost optimization.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime for management review.

Education and/or Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, preferably in aggregate production or similar industries.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities to coordinate maintenance activities and liaise with various teams.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for maintenance planning and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced production environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
