- Work closely with multiple departments to clearly understand business requirements, identify risks, and manage critical paths.
- Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations.
- Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, lead times and other criteria.
- Negotiate, obtain final quotes, and create detailed purchase requisition for goods, materials and services.
- Understand supplier delivery schedules and work with Program Management on mitigation steps
- Schedule manufacturing orders and release as components become available.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to proactively support internal and external customer requirements.
- Ensure planning and scheduling processes are followed in adherence with Teledyne's AS9100 / ISO9001 certifications.
- Minimum five years of Planning / Scheduling experience in a Manufacturing environment and a High School Diploma.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook and Excel.
- Proficiency with ERP system, especially Item Masters, Bills of Materials, Inventory Management, Manufacturing Orders, Revision Control.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving scheduling challenges.
- Experience with Government contracts desired.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent record keeping skills.
