The Product Security organization is creating a new AppSec team that will centralize, monitor, and enforce our Application Security policies across the SDLC.

As the Application Security Manager, you will build, lead, and drive this team to continuously improve our application security posture, protecting Datadog and our customers from potential security threats, risks, and attacks.

Application Security is integral to the Datadog stack.

We protect the product; empower teams to control their security posture and enable teams with collaborative development of security tools and resources.

You'll join at an ideal time for making a big impact.

Our product is seeing very high growth, with the platform becoming more interactive and new products and features being developed regularly including products for the Security space.

What You'll Do:
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of application security engineers.
Centralize the tracking, management, and enforcement of Application Security policies.
Define SDLC secure baselines that meet compliance requirements, industry standards, and recommendations.
Scale our ability to manage and prioritize in-coming security requests.
Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders across the company to deliver AppSec subject matter expertise across the SDLC.
You'll have a direct impact on the Datadog

security product

suite by leveraging the product internally and continuously providing actionable feedback to Product.
Use metrics, measurements and KPIs to sustain or improve our security posture over time.
You won't have all the answers but you'll help foster a high-performance and inclusive culture.

Who You Are:
You have great communication skills, emotional intelligence and skills at collaborating with and coaching folks from different cultures.
You have direct people management experience or a strong desire to develop as an engineering leader.
You thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and find ways to drive outcomes working with key stakeholders.
Passionate about security and want to work on complex security problems, at-scale, in a large multi-cloud

environment
You have prior experience in Software Engineering, Security Architecture, Application Security, Offensive Security or Compliance.
You stay updated with modern security best practices, technologies and emerging threats

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

The reasonably estimated salary

for this role at Datadog ranges from $187,000 to $240,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation.

Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
