Service Dispatcher needed for Electrical and Plumbing Contractor in Bladensburg, Md


Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Dispatcher.

As a Service Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the transportation and logistics of our service operations.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient scheduling and dispatching of service technicians to customer locations. This is a full-time position.


Duties:

• Coordinate and schedule service technicians for customer appointments
• Dispatch technicians to customer locations using GPS tracking systems
• Monitor technician progress and provide updates to customers as needed
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, including time of arrival, completion, and any additional notes
• Communicate with customers to confirm appointments and address any scheduling changes or concerns
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts and equipment
• Assist with data entry and documentation tasks related to service operations
• Utilize phone systems and other communication tools to effectively coordinate service activities

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) or thirdparty logistics (3PL) software is a plus
• Proficient in data entry and comfortable working with various computer programs
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and problemsolving
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
