Job Description:
Assumes responsibility for all aspects of the technical operations, stage facilities and equipment as well as related personnel associated with performances and productions held at The Hartt School, Lincoln Theater and Auerbach Auditorium.
Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Description of Key Responsibility:
Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with visiting production personnel, campus departments and external organizations in an effort to determine the technical needs of each performance and/or event.
Description of Key Responsibility:
Hires, train, supervises and evaluates a staff of electricians, carpenters, properties people, running crews and various theatrical specialists on a show by show basis for campus-wide theater projects and events.
Description of Key Responsibility:
Oversees and monitors all expense budgets associated with Hartt productions. Prepares cost estimates of technical work for productions. Advises departments on budgetary priorities and decisions. Determines budgetary breakdowns within sets, props, lights, costumes and special needs on a show by show basis.
Description of Key Responsibility:
Establishes a schedule for all Hartt production activities and performances. Determines dates for design deadlines, load-in, painting, hang, focus, cueing and level setting sessions. Coordinates and oversees student intern positions in theatrical organizations and events both on and off campus.
Description of Key Responsibility:
Oversees the engineering of scenic construction and installation for maximum cost efficiency and safety. Schedules, supervises and oversees all activities involved in sets, props, lights, sound recording, painting, focus, levels, load-in, etc. Provides training as necessary and/or appropriate.
Description of Key Responsibility:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Formal Education:
Bachelors Degree required.
Work Experience:
Normal office situation.
High noise environment.
Requires travel, excluding overnight stays. Stockroom or warehouse.
High dust, dirt, grease environment.
Works with poor ventilation or with regular exposure to odors.
