Position Summary:

Responsible for operating roll forming line and secondary operations related to metal forming.

The Rollform Trouble Shooter will also be responsible for the setup of a Roll mill line to ensure quality parts are produced, as well as meeting production rates and efficiency requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Operate various roll forming, stamping and support equipment including, but not limited to, decoilers, mills, presses, conveyors, butt seam welder, jib cranes and fork lifts.
  • Utilize measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measure, feeler gages, length gage and check fixtures) to ensure accurate part quality.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors and assist in keeping equipment operational.
  • Operate bar code scanning computers and machine operator interface controls.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set Rollform Dies, change Roll Tooling and set Secondary Dies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to Install Mandrels, Material Guides and Straighteners
  • Strive to keep product waste to a minimum, inspect finished products, read and record all quality measurements as required in the quality forms.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot the following: twist, length and centering issues, crosssection issues.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with leaders and coworkers as a member of a team, working to solve problems maintain and improve safety and meet production standards.
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities outlined above.
  • Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, as directed by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers and management
  • Detail oriented with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
  • Successful completion of Advanced Rollforming & Quality Fundamentals given by CMG
  • Basic computer skills

Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour
