Transportation Department for a
REGIONAL DRIVER SUPERVISOR.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Responsibilities:


  • Design, implement, oversee and manage safety programs and driver training programs working in partnership with the Fleet Supervisor and Fleet Safety and Compliance Supervisor
  • Perform onboarding for new drivers and training for all drivers
  • Assist drivers in DOT, customer service and other driver related issues
  • Supervise drivers
  • Report and investigate ergonomic/OSHA/health and safety incidents
  • Report and investigate motor vehicle accidents
  • Oversee log, DVIR and receipt auditing and filing
  • Coordinate work assignments with dispatchers and equipment assignments, including maintenance and repair schedules with fleet maintenance and other service providers or leasing companies
  • Work with dispatch, fleet maintenance, fleet operations and drivers to proactively identify and implement opportunities for improvement
  • Improve fleet cost and efficiency by helping drivers optimize their performance
  • Provide reports based on fleet data to measure performance and safety
  • Coordinate permits and licensing
  • Coordinate driver qualification
  • Audit DOT inspection reports

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, and / or experience in driving commercial motor vehicles and DOT regulations (Class A CDL w/ Hazmat endorsement preferred)
  • Accident reporting and investigation skills including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Excellent employee relationship skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet)
