    Description


    This Mechanical Engineer III is responsible for the piping and structural CAD design of refrigeration systems and leading others in good CAD design practices.


    Duties include, but are not limited to:
    Develop CAD design specifications & standards to achieve departmental goalsWorking knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDMDrive good document control using PDM / DBWorksDrive standardization, rationalization, and simplification of varying complex designsDrive team collaboration to achieve standardized subassemblies across multiple productAssist in leading team of 4-6 people to release production 3D CAD drawingsDevelop and manage kits and subassemblies to set manufacturing up for successCommunicate changes and requirements to all departments involvedWork with vendors to obtain data and requirements for componentsDesign and/or redesign products to improve labor efficiency and material costsDesign products for manufacturability and ease of Assembly


    RequirementsQualifications:

    • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
    • Requires 5+ years related experience in 3D CAD design
    • Requires expert knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks & Auto-Cad)
    • Experience with structural & sheet metal design on new product projects
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects and hit timelines
    • Excellent communication, and documentation skills.
    • The ability to standardize, rationalize and simplify (to make the complex design simple)
    • Design experience in reviewing models, drawings, and Bills of Material
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
    • Sense of ownership with projects and work assignments.
    • SolidWorks Certification a plus.
    • Refrigeration and heat transfer knowledge a plus
    • Knowledge of SAP environment a plus.
    • Solid Edge experience a plus
