Job summary
The Electronics Technician Maintenance (ETM) III applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.The ideal candidate will have experience performing overhauls and repairs on any of the following shipboard electronics systems: High Frequency (HF), Radio Frequency (RF), High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG), Digital Modular Radio (DMR), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN), Electronic Support Measures (ESM), or Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems.
Prior working knowledge on two or more of the followings systems is required: Extremely High Frequency (), Super High Frequency (), Global Broadcast System (), KA Band,, Time Division Multiple Access Processor , Commercial Broadband Satellite Program , Digital Modular Radio , and Navy Multi-band Terminal ; perform all duties unsupervised.
- Desired to be capable of performing all duties unsupervised.
- Desired to provide the status of their assigned tasks via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy personnel.
- Must be able to develop written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation.
