Position Summary:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the property, including leadership, management, and holding Team Members accountable, as well as exceeding guest expectations, while following government, 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC., and IHG standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Report to work in professionally appropriate attire, presented neat and clean
  • Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valued
  • Anticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step further
  • Maintain an active presence throughout the property and lead daily huddles
  • Lead a team of property managers and foster opportunities to learn, grow, and develop their skills. Identify talent and provide the necessary training as positions open.
  • Celebrate employees' achievements
  • Participate in development of financial objectives and operating budgets. Consistently meet the budget in all areas of cost control. Take effective corrective action as required.
  • Collaborate with the sales departments to execute and improve the annual marketing plan. Work closely with sales on booking events, groups, and build repeat guests, and corporate accounts.
  • Implement general policies established by the Company Officers; direct their administration and execution.
  • Plan, develop, and approve specific operational policies, programs, procedures, methods, rules, and regulations in concert with general policies
  • Develop, maintain, and administer a sound organizational plan; initiate improvements as necessary
  • Establish a basic personnel policy; initiate and monitor policies relating to personnel actions and training and professional development programs
  • Attend brand conferences, workshops, and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments in the field
  • Consistently assure the property is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of all the property's physical assets and facilities
  • Ensure the highest standards for all aspects of property operations
  • Establish and monitor compliance with purchasing policies and procedures; review and approve purchasing procedures and requirements
  • Manage cash flow and establish controls to safeguard funds
  • Confer with department heads and Director of Hotel Operations about personnel related matters including compensation, job changes, performance evaluation, etc.
  • Participate in selected community activities to enhance the prestige of the property; broaden the scope of the property's operation by fulfilling the public obligations of the hotel as a participating member of the community
  • Serve as a liaison between all management staff and Company Officers
  • Develop, maintain, and disseminate a basic management philosophy to guide all employees toward optimal operating results, employee morale, and guest satisfaction
  • Provide reports and other support material for executive use
  • Establish and approve workloads, work methods, and performance standards
  • Maintain relations with police, fire, and other governmental agencies
  • Direct purchase, receiving, storage, issuing, preparation, and control of all products, supplies and equipment
  • Ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation of all facilities and environments according to local health department, IHG, and 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC standards
  • Handle emergencies such as fires, accidents, and breaches of security promptly and in person
  • Emphasize propertywide safety and security through training, inspection, and preventative enforcement following brand standards required training
  • Convene and preside over meetings with departmental managers; conduct property wide personnel meetings
  • Give direction to and work closely with vendors, outside contractors, firms, and individuals providing services to the property
  • Lead, manage, and appraise Team Members performance to the standards of employment and job performance set by the core values of 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC. and IHG. Mentor while addressing any feedback and problem solve.
  • Discipline team members as needed, according to 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC's policies.
  • Maintain unity between all departments of the property, while keeping an open line of communication between each of them as well as other properties
  • Sample food and beverage to ensure consistency and quality
  • Rotate Manager on Duty shifts over the weekends for the hotel
  • Maintain 12 front office shifts each week
  • Perform property walkarounds each day as needed, and address all issues encountered
  • Follow all 6PM Hospitality Partners, LLC's Processes
  • Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records
  • Undertake special projects requested by the Company Officers
