- Perform treatments and interventions; conduct teaching and counseling of patients and families; and facilitate clinical research.
- Serve as a clinical preceptor for students.
- Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program by start of appointment.
- May possess a specialty certificate by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the Pediatric Certification Nursing Board (PCNB), and the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
- Licensure as a registered professional nurse in the State of Missouri and must be granted "Document of Recognition" as a certified nurse practitioner from the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
- Two years' experience in wound care.
- Experience in Wound Management / Surgery / Primary Care / Infectious Disease / Diabetes is desired.
- Certification or qualification to become certified as a Wound Care Nurse-Advanced Practice (CWCN-AP).
