Job Summary:


Responsibilities:

Assess residents' health status and create individualized care plans based on their needs, medical history, and physician's instructions.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

Monitor residents' vital signs, detect any changes in their condition, and promptly report concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.


Assist in the management of residents' pain levels, including the administration of pain medications and implementation of non-pharmacological pain management techniques.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and implement resident care plans, ensuring a holistic and patient-centered approach.


Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, addressing their questions, concerns, and providing guidance on healthcare-related issues.

Document all nursing interventions, assessments, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.

Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.

Stay up-to-date with current nursing practices and participate in continuing education programs to enhance professional growth and maintain licensure.


Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.

Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.

Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and practices.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathetic nature with a genuine desire to provide the highest level of care to residents.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers).

Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
