    Description
    Vermont Information Processing is seeking an experienced

    Software Quality Engineer 1

    to join our automated testing team, a development group that builds, executes, and maintains Java-based automated testing tools.

    This position will test web services, stored procedures, web and mobile UIs, and other programs written in a variety of languages and running on a variety of platforms.


    Position Type:
    Full Time, Hybrid - will be required to report to our office in Colchester, VT


    Primary Responsibilities:
    Enhancing the quality of our software products through testing

    Contributing breadth and depth to our overall testing infrastructure

    Developing, publishing, and implementing test plans

    Writing and maintaining automated test suites


    Requirements:
    Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

    Solid organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate status to complete complicated projects independently and on time

    At least 3 years experience in software testing

    At least 2 years experience in Java, C#, or C++, and SQL


    Desired Skills:
    A working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies

    Selenium or Appium

    JUnit or TestNG

    IBM iSeries, DB2, and RPG

    ExtJS / Sencha JavaScript frameworks

    SVN / Git / Source Control

    Linux / CentOS
