Description
OverviewThis position is responsible to maintain regulatory, professional standards and demonstrate full knowledge of Diagnostic Radiology equipment.
Diagnostic Radiology procedures aid in the practice of Occupational Health, which focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury and protection from occupational and environmental hazards.
Radiologic Technologists are authorized to handle and administer contrast media in accordance with radiology processes and procedures. Competencies are completed through the Radiology department. Talent Pool; Allied HealthResponsibilities
Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable.
Completes all annual competencies by designated time frame Assumes professional role within work environment (industry, clinic) and serves as a knowledgeable resource to employers and employees in occupational health and safety issues, policies, laws, and regulations Performs health screenings and health assessments i.e.
post offer physical exams, wellness screenings, audiometric testing, vision screening, bloodborne pathogen exposure care and follow up, drug screening Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and health records Communicates appropriate information to employers and clients in a timely and professional manner i.

work related injury information, return to work status, laboratory tests and drug screen results Keeps Manager and employer representative advised of all aspects of responsibilities on an on-going basis, ensuring prompt notification when problems or potential problems arise.
Notifies Manager immediately when they will be absent due to illness, emergencies, or planned absences Documents assessments, treatments, outcomes, work and disability status, screenings and educational offerings in a thorough manner.
Maintains clear and concise records for individual and corporate clients to meet the requirements of the department, the company and any applicable standards or lawsQualifications
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent, RequiredGraduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.
EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years, Healthcare - Diagnostic Technologist, RequiredPreferred: Occupation Health Clinic experience is preferred but if not then Emergency Care or Critical Care experience is desired.
