Position Summary
The Sanitation Associate maintains a clean and safe work area, following SQF standards and proper GMP procedures.

The primary function of the Sanitation Associate is to follow all SOPs for the washdown room and all sanitation processes.

This role is responsible for working safely, including wearing all PPE while performing functions of the role.

Primary functions are to clean and sanitize all vats, tanks, utensils, equipment, as well as maintain clean Production Floor and Warehouses per SQF standards.

Essential Job Functions

• Wash and sanitize all mobile and stationary vats, and utensils and equipment following SQF standards and proper GMPs and sanitary procedures
• Maintain clean/safe work areas, Production floor, and Warehouses
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
• Uses appropriate PPE during cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Utilizes stairs, ladders, mezzanines, to clean and sanitize large stationary vats and tanks.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Share duties of disposing of trash and recyclables and restocking supplies in the restroom, break room areas and on the production floor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements

Education:
High school diploma (or GED) required.


Work Experience: 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area helpful, but not required.


Industry Knowledge:
Food manufacturing or packaging experience helpful, but not required.
