- Diagnosis: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all vehicles meet federal and state safety regulations and standards, emphasizing the importance of safe transportation of hazardous materials in fuel tanker trailers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs, including parts used and labor hours, to support compliance and future reference through repair orders.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of mechanics and technicians to achieve collective goals and share knowledge and expertise.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and evolving best practices in truck and trailer maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or formal training in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a semi truck and trailer mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and fuel systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety-consciousness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not required.
