Radio Frequency Systems Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Provide engineering support on Aviation Systems Engineering
( ASE )
projects for their Naval customers. Work under the direction of senior engineers for specific project tasking.
Perform tasking, including requirements analysis, test and evaluation support, and data analysis support asso cia ted with various RF communications systems.
Support development of novel and complex RF voice, data, and video communications system solutions, including secure and dynamic radio networks.
Support and analyze requirements, conceptual and formal designs, and installations in a dynamic collaborative engineering environment. Work closely with a team of engineers to support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of new hardware, systems, andsof tware for radio equipment and networking equipment in both lab and live environments.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with detailed radio system planning, design, testing, and implementation
Experience with field radio communications coverage testing and verification
Experience with both analog and digital two-way radio systems
Knowledge of the design constraints and capabilities of RF voice, data li nk , LOS, and BLOScommunication systems
Knowledge of RF propagation modeling, coverage planning, and coverage planning
sof tware
Knowledge of radio system fundamentals in VHF, UHF, and SHF bands
Knowledge of antenna systems, including the use of combiners, multi-couplers, filters, and sophisticated distributed antenna systems and solutions
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in EE, Computer Engineering, or Physics
Additional Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with detailed radio system planning, design, testing, and implementation
Experience with common radio system features and capabilities used by the DoD, including Rockwell Collins and Harris Mobile Radios, including ARC-210, PRC-117, and AN / PEC-152A
Experience with SATCOM radio systems, including MUOS
Experience with various network protocols and data communications interfaces
Experience with laboratory test equipment, including spectrum and network analyzers and oscilloscopes
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of excellent analytical skills
Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133, annualized USD).The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
