SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Coordinator assists the Supply Chain Department in all activities and issues supply chain related within the Whitsons Organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Collaborates with Nutrition Department on substitutes that may be needed in the event of shortages or delays.
  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to manage the vendor compliance inbox and associated salesforce complaint ticketing system when solving problems with distributors and locations. Runs reports to see which vendors needs to improve performance.
  • Responsible for keeping information within Dine Central up to date. Makes decisions on products that get entered in Dine Central which financially impacts what is set up in DC for locations to order and affects what locations have access to when ordering.
  • Examples Include:

Account Setup - including but not limited to setting up delivery days and windows for each account location by vendor.

Order Guide Change Requests - includes working with distributors to ensure product is available and minimums are considered when bringing in new products.

Product Status, Descriptions, UOM, Specs and CN documentation - ensure all product attributes are setup correctly and follow appropriate naming scheme. As well as ensure all proper specs and CN labeling documentation is updated and associated with the proper items on a regular basis. Ensures Nutrition dept approves new items before making them available.

Pricing - Updates prices and codes to new and current items on a regular basis. Uses discretion and independent judgement when reviewing products.

Recipes - Work with the field and nutrition to ensure locations can menu recipes and add missing items to recipes so they populate for the field.

Phasing Products - add and remove items to order guides based on when items are available by distributor and region.

  • Generates all credit reports, sends them to vendors and follows up on status of credits.
  • Responsible for keeping specs in our system up to date.
  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics of inbound samples to the corporate office related to Supply Chain, Nutrition or the Innovations Team.
  • Will learn how to effectively source new vendors and products needed for the different business segments.
  • Assist in dealing with supply chain issue related to the prepared meals division in the culinary center.

New Product Set Up: Works with Nutrition and uses independent judgement for setting up new products and comparing costs, finding the least inexpensive spec to fit the need of the location.

  • Responsible for discretely reviewing usage and setting up contracts as needed as well as ONSA's.
  • Performs other jobs tasks as needed

Requirements:


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:


Education:

  • Minimum B.S. Degree in Business, Hospitality or comparable work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of company departments.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency with computers is required.
  • Fully proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite products have excellent aptitude for learning and excelling at new programs. Strong Excel skills preferred.

Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
_(include ability to manage and supervise staff, if required; ability to travel or speak foreign languages, if necessary, etc.)_

  • Ability to maintain calm demeanor and organization in a diverse and hectic environment with focus on customer service is essential to success in this role.
  • Solid communication skill and time management skills are required.
  • School Lunch experience is a plus.
