ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job's purpose and objectives.   • Overseeing the management of employee relations processes, policies and procedures to enable effective management, conflict resolution, and problem solving.
  • Conducting, overseeing and/or otherwise assisting with employee relation issues to manage employee concerns and to identify and implement appropriate employee action and accountability practices.
  • Identifying a fair and inclusive process appropriate for employee concerns including overseeing investigations to ensure adherence to employee relations policies and practices.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to managers of all levels to address employee behavior and performance.
  • Track and guide with the development and delivery of appropriate performance feedback or action plans including corrective/disciplinary actions.
  • Overseeing the use of effective documentation techniques and maintaining accurate, confidential records regarding all reported matters and factfinding documentation.
  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee interactions. Develops and delivers further training as needed.
  • Counsels' employees on concerns related to applicable EEO laws including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave and other similar federal and state laws.
  • Manages the annual review process to ensure impartial and equitable reviews as well as progress of these essential items: goal setting, employee development, improved productivity, identification of necessary trainings or gaps in the workforce, and succession planning.
  • Conducts surveys, interviews, and other studies to research employee engagement, retention probability and modern practices. Make recommendations for changes.
  • Annually manages the employee engagement survey (in UKG) and analyze data to make recommendations for improvements and/or changes that will have a positive effect on the employee and employer relationships.
  • Manages OSHA for the organization by conducting site visit audits and ensuring annual reporting requirements are met.
  • Organize any employee events for rewards and recognition and other all team meetings when needed.
  • Maintaining the highest level of integrity when managing employee relations issues and managing reported matters.
  • Assist with the biweekly Orientation Sessions on a rotation basis or as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support HR Department.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations, principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of negotiation techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of dispute resolution and compensation administration.
  • Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.
  • Working understanding of statistical concepts and methods of data collection.
  • Working understanding of statistical concepts and methods of data collection.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
  • Four years of professional human resources management experience or equivalent training, education or other experiences accepted by the HR Director.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
