Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) II is a professional caregiver who takes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a specific time frame.
The RN II provides patient care through the use of self, the nursing process, the environment, and tools, collaborating with other healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts systematic assessment/data collection, focusing on various aspects of patient status such as physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive factors.
- Develops a goal-oriented care plan as needed.
- Delivers care consistently and skillfully.
- Prioritizes patient care based on essential needs and available resources.
- Identifies and addresses patient/family learning needs.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to patient rights, cultural beliefs, and specific needs based on age.
- Establishes effective relationships with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
- Delegates tasks appropriately and coordinates team duties.
- Evaluates the care provided by team members.
- Utilizes effective communication methods and safety principles.
- Handles emergency situations efficiently, while maintaining composure and following protocols.
- Takes responsibility for professional practice and participates in staff development activities.
- Demonstrate a service-oriented approach in all interactions.
- Identifies and solves problems effectively.
- Provides necessary data for staffing decisions.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Critical Care or completion of a relevant training program.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with clinical experience.
- Active Registered Nurse License in California.
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
Additional Requirements:
- Understanding of the RN scope of practice.
- Commitment to service orientation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a Critical Care course is preferred.
Location: California, San Rafael Hospital
Hours Per Week: 28
Shift: Day
Workdays: Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat; Week 2: Sun, Thu, Fri
Working Hours: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
Job Schedule: Part-time
