- Collaborate and work closely with stakeholders to design and evaluate Value Based Payment programs. Example areas include hospital and physician Accountable Care Organization (ACO) programs, Episodes of Care/Bundle programs, Nephrology, Oncology Medical Home, etc.
- Apply robust and appropriate statistical and clinical rigor using advanced analytic techniques including but not limited to risk adjustment, episode analytics (ETG, Prometheus etc.), statistical modeling, power analysis, matched case control studies, etc.
- Build financial models for new FFV programs and build and manage annual reconciliation for pilot programs.
- Derive actionable insights from healthcare data (claims, clinical, pharmacy, externally sourced) to engage and enable our provider/clinical partners. Support IM/IT to deploy the actionable insight into accessible solutions for our provider/clinical partners.
- Present analytic findings and recommendations to non-technical business partners and leadership to drive data driven strategies.
- Explore innovative solutions to business questions/problems.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Outcomes Research, Actuarial Science, or Data Science
- At least 5 years' experience in related healthcare analytics or value-based care research
- Strong technical skills required to extract, transpose, and analyze Big Data housed in Teradata and Hadoop using SQL and SAS/R/Python and output through advanced visualization tools including, but not limited to, Tableau/R/Python
- Strong Healthcare data knowledge and hands on experience (medical claims data, clinical data, pharmacy data and eligibility data)
- Knowledge of ACO, bundles, episodes, etc. is required
- Statistical training in school or through work (ability to formulate and execute appropriate confidence intervals, power analysis, bootstrapping, regression modeling, etc.)
- Medical Economics and healthcare financial modeling experience preferred
- Ability to consistently deliver on-time while managing multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to successfully navigate and contribute in a highly-matrixed environment
- Enjoys problem solving and creating innovative solutions
- Strong verbal/written communication skills

The Advanced Supply Analytics & Design analytics team, within the Analytics & Data Science vertical, works with its business stakeholders to drive the vision and delivery of solutions to maximize healthcare affordability through fee for value population health and specialty referral initiatives. This role will be responsible for conducting advanced analytics and research activities in efforts to design and develop the pilot programs and make recommendations supporting affordability initiatives. This person will be conducting advanced and exploratory analytics, generating actionable insights and resources to strategically design and/or enhance pay for performance programs.
Responsibilities Include:
This position requires healthcare and insurance content knowledge, analytics/data science expertise and value-based program expertise to support Cigna on Pay-for-performance strategy.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 95, ,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
