    Description

    About the Company and Overview of the Role:

    • Our new client is a staple in the local hospitality industry, very well known in the Baltimore area.
    • Due to growth in the business, they are looking to hire an Accounting Manager on a contract to hire basis who is able to hit the ground running
    • Hours: 9am-5pm M-F 100% on site in Baltimore, MD
      • Company offers free parking to all of its employees
    • Senior Accountants encouraged to apply; great growth opportunity

    Job Duties:

    • Manage day-to-day accounting department functions
    • Serve as backup for general accountants, AP, AR, etc. when needed
    • Manage month and year end close process
    • Reconcile accounts to general ledger
    • Review financial statements and accruals
    • Oversee fixed assets and depreciation entries and retirements
    • Ensure all taxes are paid in a timely manner
    • Go to for external auditors during annual audit
    • Assist with budget preparation and creation

    Qualifications for the Role:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required. CPA or MBA a plus, but not required
    • 5+ years accounting experience
    • Experience using Oracle preferred, but not required
    • Expertise with QuickBooks required
    • Proficient Excel skills
    • Supervisory experience highly preferred
