Fair Oaks Health Care Center is currently looking for a full-time scheduler. If you are an organized individual who happens to be a C.N.A. looking for advancement this is a great opportunity for you. This position provides support and guidance to all C.N.A.s The position requires a individual who demonstrates positive leadership to ensure all CNAs are confident in their role and encourage continued collaboration with other departments. Excellent communication skills are required as this position works closely with the Director of Nursing to communicate areas of concern and opportunity while keeping our five Core Values in mind.


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Will be responsible for supervising ad verification of completion of the comprehensive orientation checklist and oversight of newly hired certified nursing assistants
  • Will be perceptive in determining any additional orientation needs of new hires prior to holding an assignment.
  • Will work in partnership with the DON to promote best practice care, support continuing education, emotional support, and peer CNA coaching when applicable
  • Responsible for daily audits of overall CNA cares and documents (i.e., perichecks, bathing, transfers, etc).
  • Portrays and maintains a positive attitude and influence as a role model for the employees and other staff.
  • Communicates and collaborates with DON to support and facilitate positive progress workflow and positive resident outcome.
  • Works directly with DON to imitate and implement skills fair or other education to support peer competency.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and or supporting the nursing assistant and nurse schedule.
  • Initial orientation for all new nursing assistants, which includes first day orientation to the floor, initial training checkins and 30day, 0day and 90day checkins.
  • Work with DON and Human Resources to ensure all required training is completed.
  • Liaison with the CNA Task Force supporting efforts and time needed for the committee.
  • Support collaborates with DON for CNA monthly meeting.
  • Collaborate with DON to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be an Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant for at least six months

  • Must maintain an exceptional attendance record according to employee handbook guidelines.
  • Must be current with and/or continue to remain current with all expected education.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Must be able to work all shifts as needed to support staff and workflow.
  • Must have a positive outlook and exceptional ability to work with others.
  • Must have exceptional job knowledge.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must have selfinitiative.
  • This position may work up to 16 hours on the floor to support critical needs. (The DON and/or Administrator are responsible for this decision)
