Job Summary


Maintains all injection molds in a ready to run condition through maintenance programs and maintains and updates mold repair room supplies.


Main Responsibilities
Perform injection mold preventative maintenance on all molds

Follows and maintains the preventive and predictive maintenance program.

Turn in weekly activity sheet inside of PLEX PM system.

Verify molds that have been recently PM'd for production are completed correctly and signed off. Following the tag system for visual understanding of mold status.

Check molds running for visible problems that could cause mold damage and production downtime.

Provide press side support as needed.

Reviewing incoming corrective action reports and work with toolmakers performing mold repair and maintenance tasks.

New Molds:
a mold, which does not produce the desired part, may need to be repaired, reworked, or realigned. Documenting arrival and informing the technical group.

Provide complete, concise instructions when returning a mold to the mold maker, including marked-up parts.

Keep the management informed to allow for a new sample run when the mold is returned.

Assist in any other mold-related activities.

Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.

  • Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Timely and accurate completion of required paperwork.
  • Attend required training.
  • Attend preshift and other scheduled meetings.
  • Provide training to other employees when necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Pay:
$25.39 per hour

Experience:


  • Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (required)
  • Plastics injection molding: 3 years (required)
