Job DescriptionDescription:

SUMMARY: Under the supervision of Director of Facilities, the part-time Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping meet routine maintenance needs of a large church and school campus situated on over 20 acres with seven buildings and approximately 150,000 square feet of space. The schedule is mornings to early afternoon Monday-Friday, up to 24 hours per week, and some Saturdays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform general light maintenance repairs to equipment, walls, ceilings, floors, plumbing, air conditioning, electrical, and lighting.
Respond to maintenance tickets on an ongoing basis and in a timely manner.
Identify and notify Director of any observations concerning need for major repairs.
Assist with routine cleaning duties as needed to include cleaning restrooms, emptying trash and recycling, cleaning floors and maintaining floors, and removing rubbish.
Perform minor landscaping and irrigation related duties to meet the needs of the campus.
Perform general light preventative maintenance work to maintain the campus.
Set up and tear down of scheduled room configurations to meet needs of day-to-day church activities and events.
Assist with assembling furniture and moving furniture or other large items from one place to another on campus.
Assist campus security as needed for traffic monitoring and control. Assist with providing on-site direction and instruction to delivery services and communicate with contractors.
Assist with performing heavy cleaning duties as needed such as washing large vehicles and pressure washing areas of the property.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant trade certifications are preferred.
At least 2 years' relevant experience maintaining property buildings and landscaping.
At least 2 years' commercial cleaning experience.
Must be self-disciplined, highly motivated and detail oriented.
Command of English language and strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to relate effectively with contractors and staff.
Strong customer service skills are required, as this position will frequently interact with staff, visitors, and contractors.
Physically, this position requires performing activities that require movements such as lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally, climbing including ladders, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, crawling in small spaces, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity, and handling of furniture, equipment, and materials.
Valid driver's license is required.
Must be able to pass a background check via fingerprinting and drug screen.
