QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in landscaping and turf management.
  • Proficiency in landscaping, turf management, and horticulture practices.
  • Experience in maintaining sports fields.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with farm equipment operation.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Horticulture and grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Athletic field upkeep.
  • Assistance in campus building maintenance.
  • Planting and removal of trees, shrubs, flowers, and sod.
  • Installation and repair of landscape features.
  • General maintenance of farm buildings and grounds.
  • Snow removal operations.
  • Tractor and machinery operation following safety protocols.
  • Communication of inventory needs.
  • Supervision of community grounds use when required.
  • Livestock feeding and care duties.
  • Harvesting and stacking hay bales.
  • Compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Additional tasks as delegated by the Farm Manager.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, 40-hour per week position.
  • Covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME, Council 93, Local 245.
