- Conduct hands-on test and measurement activities and procedures for measuring RF signals and microelectronic components.
- Plan, validate, set-up, execute and maintain test environments with minimal direct supervision.
- Develop and deliver regression test plan and reports with minimal direct supervision.
- Document work, procedures, and findings clearly using your technical writing experience.
- Work effectively and productively in a collaborative team environment.
- Be accountable to team lead and Principal Investigator for reporting and managing assigned work plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Active DoD Top Secret (TS/SCI or SCI Eligible).
- Proficiency with planning, build, and maintenance of relevant test environments.
- Experience developing and delivering regression test plans and reports.
- Hands-on experience with relevant test and measurement equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc).
- Expert proficiency with soldering on microelectronics (through-hole and surface mount)
- Experience programming in C and Assembly for embedded microcontrollers.
- Ability to manage timelines, product delivery, product quality with minimal supervision.
- Able to work individually as a member of a multi-discipline team with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work in a secure US Government facility.
- Bachelor's degree in a EE or related technical area with 5+ years relevant experience, a related technical Master's degree with 3+ years relevant experience, or a PhD in a related technical area.
- Experience with GnuRadio or Redhawk.
- Technical writing experience.
- Python (preferred) or other scripting experience.
- Experience working in a secure US Government facility is desired.

The Riverside Research Engineering and Support Solutions (ESS) directorate conducts Research and Development (R&D) of cyber-physical attacks against embedded systems. As a Test Engineer III,you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of research engineers and scientists on a range of microelectronics research projects. You must possess a strong knowledge of software defined radios (SDR) and be experienced in low-level coding techniques. As an experienced test engineer, you will utilize your advanced understanding from extensive hands-on experience with relevant test and measurement equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc). The position is in Dayton OH and requires a Top Secret security clearance (SCI Eligible). Remote work is not available for this position. Travel is not expected to exceed two to three times a year.
