At the Institute for Geotechnics, a position as an employee (m/f/d) in the technical service (pay grade 9a TV-L, 100%) is available at Captains Cove, VA, starting as soon as possible.

The position is permanent.

Responsibilities

Independent production of components and equipment for geotechnical and rock mechanical test devices using various materials
Independent construction of test rigs for geotechnical and rock mechanical investigations
Participation in the conception and largely independent execution of laboratory and largescale investigations, as well as preparation, execution, and documentation of experiments on soils and rocks
Consultation of project engineers and scientific assistants in the design of special geotechnical test facilities, as well as independent realization of the facilities
Independent execution of laboratory analysis, including application and operation of measurement technology
Maintenance and optimization of largescale geotechnical and rock mechanical test facilities
General manual work and laboratory work
Independent procurement of necessary materials for test setups and execution

Qualifications
Completion of a state-certified technician program in the field of material testing, measurement technology, or mechatronics. Several years of professional experience in a relevant field is desirable.

We expect a high level of initiative, basic computer skills, as well as good knowledge of German and English and a class B driver's license.
