Job Summary:

Teaching assistants' primary responsibilities include but not are not limited to the following: Teaching labs for PHY depending upon assignment), assisting students during lab hours, and grading lab assignments in a timely manner.

Pay Rate:

$14.00/hour (will be increasing to $15/hour on 1/1/2025)

Required Qualifications:

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must have at least one semester of graded coursework at ISU with a major GPA of 2.75 or above.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants who:

Are a Physics major at Illinois State University and are enrolled in the appropriate major courses.
Are registered for PHY 112 (Physics for Scientists and Engineers III) or beyond by Fall 2024.

Work Hours:

Varies, scheduled lab times range from 8:00am - 9:00pm, Monday - Friday
