Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for working alongside the Facilities and Equipment Manager in driving the company's Facilities and Maintenance Success. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our facilities, equipment, and grounds. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential issues.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs or coordinate with specialized contractors when needed.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts used.
Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and materials, reordering as necessary.
Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure proper coordination of maintenance tasks.
Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment for employees and visitors.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.

Required Preferred Skills and Abilities:

DOT Medical Card

Ability to Switch Tasks Quickly

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

3+ Years of experience in a Facilities Maintenance, or similar role

Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general building maintenance

Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to facilities maintenance.

OSHA-10 Certification Preferred

Machine Operating Experience, a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to Perform all Facilities Work

Must be able to drive a CMV.

Often required to sit, stand, walk, bend knees, and stretch arms.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
